I upgraded to XP from Win2K to try to fix a USB problem. The USB problem seems to be fixed but my internet connection got wiped out and the wizard option to set up a connection manually is grayed out and not available. The only choice it gives me is the to set up a cable modem or LAN. Device manager shows the modem working properly and will let me run diags. Any way to get around the Wizard to find out what really happened?

Hello,

Just right click on internet Explorer select the properties option.
Select the connections tab and add in your modem there. that should get you
started.

Good Luck ,
