Win2000 Slow Startup

I just installed Windows 2000 .The startup is rather slow, the
blue
progress bar stops half way for a long time (6min - 12mns), then its ok.
What's your advice?

Check the various drivers you have that they're the latest versions,
also check the event viewer for indications of what is causing the
problem
