win2000 server on new Dell machine

I had an unused win2000 server package laying around so I wanted to save
some $ and use it for a very low-tech server.
I bought a new Dell SC440 and it comes with a "Server Assistant" software
package on the install CD.
The software seems to have dealt OK with a mirror RAID configuration with
the two identical SATA hard drives.
The BIOS boot screen shows one drive now, and displays a Ctrl-C prompt to
access the RAID config.

It appears that the assistant software will deal only with Win2003 server,
though, to finish the OS install.
A tech guy at Dell told me that there shouldn't be anything on the machine
that would preclude using win2k as an OS.
I bailed out of the assistant software and rebooted to the win2k CD, and I'm
thinking that I need to direct it to
the hard drive/controller info at the F6 prompt.
Among many other folders, the install CD has folders for SAS RAID, which is
what's in the box. The folder has a number of subfolders, though with
numeric labels. How can I figure out which folder to use with the browse
after using the F6 prompt?

Thanks, Bill

The F6 prompt requires that you use a floppy only.

I believe you need the inif file for the Raid controler which would appear
to be a SAS5i/R
The SAS folder is probably specific to Server Assisstant and win2003.

Do not Dell downloads for your tag have a sata controler file?

I did find a driver file ( and thanks for the suggestion) and got quite a
bit further, but still having problems.
I will start a new post.
