win2000 prof install error message

Hello,

I am trying to upgrade from Windows 95 to Windows 2000
professional on a Sony Vaio PC ver. V4.0.3 with 96MB of
RAM. I keep getting an error message when I try to
install.

"WINNT 32
This program has performed an illegal operation and will
be shut down. If the problem persists contact program
vendor.

WINNT32 caused an invalid page fault in

Can you still get into 95? You will probably need to back up the important stuff and install clean.
