:
I set up a home wireless network with a Win2000 Pro computer and a Win
XP
Home laptop and everything works fine except the Win XP laptop cannot
transfer file either direction. It sees the Win2000 machine but cannot
access
it. The Win 2000 machine can however access the Win XP laptop. I know
there
is a workaround from Micrsoft but it doesn't work for me. Help please.
Please reply to this message in the news group (not by E-mail) with
more information to help other people understand the problem. For
example:
1. How are you trying to access the Win2000 machine from the XP
laptop? What are you clicking or typing?
2. What exactly happens when you do it? If there's an error message,
what does it say?
3. What is the Microsoft workaround that you tried? What happened
when you tried it?
The more details you give, the more likely it is that someone can
help.

Sorry I'm just a newbie but here's what I have.
I have tried to access the host Win2K machine with My Network
Places/Computers Near Me and Entire Network and through Windows
Explorer/Network Places. All with the same resulting error window which
states "computername not accessable. You may not have permission.....
Contact
your administrator etc.
The workaround (don't have the number) I only printed the resolution.
It had to do with the Terminal Services Server and was to change and
delete
certificate id x 509 in the host and the MSLicensing key in the XP Client
registry. The Host comp did not have the key where theysaid it was so I
couldn't follow the workaround.
