Win2000 OS on HDD and WinMe on 2nd HDD

I want to get a larger HDD for my laptop. I want to put
Win2000 on it. I will make my old HDD a backup drive (2nd
HDD). The older one had WinMe on it and all my my
programs. I don't want to update the old HDD's OS because
it will wide out all my applications.

Will my new HDD with Win2000 be able to read the old HDD
with WinMe?

Will I be able to run the applicaitons off the old drive?

How will I be able to use the drivers and laptop utility
applications from the old drive?

Is there anyway to migrate the applications and utilities
or is it better to just leave them on the old HDD and run
them from there?

I have a Win2000 Server disk and a Win2000 Advanced Server
disk to use to put on the new HDD? Is there a difference
between Win2000 Pro and Win2000 Server? What is the
difference between Win2000 Server and Win2000 Advanced
Server?

* Yes

| Will I be able to run the applicaitons off the old drive?
* No. While you can still see the file structure, there will be no registry
structure to support the applications, hence the need to install them for
the new OS.

* Only Windows 2000 drivers will work for your hardware. Check the hardware
manufacturer's web site for the latest Windows 2000 driver for your device.
Also check the HCL

* You'll need to reinstall the applications after the operating system is
installed.
