win2000 install problems

I recently replaced the hardrive in my 5 year old ibm
aptiva and upgrading to win2000 at the same time. I used
the disk that came with the Western Digital drive to
format before installing win2000. I had it working but
full 40 gig was not showing so I started over. Now win
2000 is added to drive and after reboot I just get a black
screen set up does not contiue. Any suggestions?

Im assuming its a regular IDE drive right?

Win 2000 has minimum hardware requriements, so provide a
list of yours and we can go from there.
