Win2000 - can not install many programs

Hello,

I have some problems installing many programs on my computer (win2000
pro).
Often, the program starts the install process and then a problem
occurs.
It is often something like : CRC error or can not write in the folder
xxx
I thought about a HD problem and I checked it with a software from
Seagate. No HD problem.
Also, when I download a software, it is often damaged. I always have
to re-download it. OS problem ?

It is quite possible that you have a poor connection to the internet
resulting in corrupt downloads. A CRC error would indicate that the integrity
of the file being executed or accessed has been violated.

Maybe software, but you might check your RAM too.
