-----Original Message-----
Can I make a bootable floppy disk from my Windows 2000 OS?
.
In windows 2000 for all I know you dont have bootable disk
like windows 98 but you can copy some system files from
the drive where win 2000 was installed (ntldr,
autoexec,ntdetect,boot.ini,config.sys).

I hope it meets what you asked for.

Put the Windows 2k CD in the CD-ROM drive. Go to the DOS
window (or Command window... START -> run -> type "cmd" and
then hit the enter key. In the command window, change to
the disk drive in which your Win 2k disk is sitting. Change
to the "bootdisk" folder/directory.

Have 4 formatted 1.44MB floppy disks ready and labeled as
Win2k Setup 1 thru Setup 4.

At the prompt enter: makeboot x:, where "x" is the floppy
drive in which you're going to put the floppies.

then hit enter. Then, you'll have the boot disks after the
installation process goes thru each of the 4 disks.
