Win XP wont start

WinXP will not start up. PC was booting up when I had a
power failer during the process. When power was restored
and pc was off for a few hours tried starting pc but only
got message saying move cursor to one of the start up
options to restore system. The 3 chooses were Start in
Safe mode, start in safe mode with cursor, start in
restore mode or start windows normally. I have tried all
start options but winxp keeps coming back to the same
start up opitions as listed above. Further info, when pc
is booting up it goes thru normal process of checking e
and a drives and when going back to the hard drive it
fails. Any help would be appreciated. If you would you
could send me an email at (e-mail address removed)

Thank You

Sorry, no free email support. This is a newsgroup. And I hope you know
that posting an unmunged email address in Usenet is going to bring you
lots of spam and virus-laden emails.

It sounds as though there is a good possibility that some of your
hardware was damaged. I would run a diagnostic utility on the hard
drive and perhaps the motherboard. If the drive has any failures,
replace it. If the hardware is all good, then try a Repair Install.
Here's a link to information about that:
