First of all, you guys are great!
Ok, a new problem... When trying to install SP2 on Win XP i get a "Setup
cannot copy *.dl_" where * differs from time to time (i've tried several
times). Some times I ca bypass this by renaming the corrosponding file
already on the harddrive, but not always, and therefore the only option is to
cancel the installation.
I have an original win XP SP2 CD from microsoft and i've used it before on
another computer without problems. As you may know (from my previous posts)
i've just installed windows XP and upgraded to SP1 with all known bug-fixes.
So what to do?

You would do better posting the exact text of a single error to narrow
the possibilities listed in this link

Hope this helps.

Martin,

Your XP operating critical files may be corrupted, you need to use the
repair option when booting the XP CD and choose the repair option. There are
two repair options: The first one is Console which it takes you to the
command prompt and the second one is the replacing or repair your XP files
from the CD and deleting on the hard drive. However, your applications and
date will be intact. The repair will replace your XP operating System files
only. A Key Note. Make sure you have your product key handy.

Once your XP done repair itself, you can use SP2 service kit. It should be
able to install the service patch and good luck
