Whenever I "Right-click" a file while in a folder window, I get this message:

The instruction at 0x04b5415b referenced memory at 0x00000000. the memory
could not be "written".

I can choose Ok or cancel (Ok is best, Cancel freezes), and Win explorer
crashes, I can "right-click a drive of folder without any problems. It also
happens if I select a file and try to perform a function from the file menu.

Do you have a version of Divx or Dr Divx installed?

If so, you need to upgrade those to the latest versions (5.2.1 and 1.06
respectively). Earlier revisions would cause the similar problems to what
you are describing

Hi

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers:

If you have DivX installed, be sure to install the latest version:

Also, SpySweeper is known to cause this type of problems in WinXP SP2.

Thank you. It worked. How did you know this?
