win xp sp2 ( black screen )

can someone plse help me. i have installed winxp sp2 on my computer when i
restarted it again i get a black screen and it stays long that for hours. my
mouse tells me thats it is busy ( the hour glass sign ) but yet it still
stays on the black screen. any help will be appreciated

Martin -

I think you can safely assume that you have a defective
installation and that your computer, as you knew it, is
now worthless. Of course, you followed the warnings to
make a back-up... so all you have to do is restore the
back-up. If, for some reason you didn't follow that
excellent advice... well, I guess you are SOL.
