Win XP shuts down..No warning

I have been having Win XP (All updates installed) Shut down completely and reboot without warning. The screen goes black and the system reboots. There is no consistent time frame for this. Could be 30 seconds, could be several hours

Event viewer shows errors with TrueVector Service ( ZoneAlarm free version 4.5.594.000). This is the opnly error I can find with the system. Norton Antivirus is set to run liveupdate automatically and will accept updates

System restore does not help. I have removed a great deal of software thinking it may be a driver problem, but no joy

Ideas please

Thanks

This could be a power supply problem. Also open the case and clean out the dust bunnies. Dust maybe causing to overheat.

Mine was doing the same thing, and Microsoft suggested I Uncheck
"Automatically Restart" in System Properties. (Rt Click My Computer,
Properties, Advanced, Startup & Recovery). This will give the "Blue Screen"
with error message. Mine turned out to be a bad Memory stick, even though
"Mem Test" found no problems.

I cleaned the heat sink. It was very dusty (we have 4 cats in the house, and they vie for the warm computer box)

The computer has not shut down since this was done. Should this have been successful, I will let you all know. Thanks
