Win XP re-install

I have came across a snag with reinstalling my Genuine copy of Win XP
Pro (Full edition). I have a laptop that I upgraded my hard drive (to
120gB) and ram to 1.5g and had to install a fresh copy of Windows XP
Pro. I do have a legit copy and everything but when prompted to
activate the key, it stated that the key has exceeded it's useage. I
have bought the whole software from Best Buy (so the software shall be
fresh as of January before vista) and I have used the key once before on
the exact same laptop (before the upgrade).

Has anyone else came across the same snag? (where M$FT is stating it is
not useable anymore) What shall I do to ensure that the XP Pro will be
in use? please write: (e-mail address removed)

Use the option available on the Activation dialog to 'phone in'. Waiting 120
days between hardware changes, it would be possible to do it online.

Choose to activate by phone. follow the instructions. It's a free call and a
automated system. Unless somebody has stolen your key and used it many times
it should only take a few minutes.
