win XP re-install crashes product catalog error

I have a japanese Windows OS XP home edition and an
English Windows OS XP Pro installed on my PC. I tried to
reinstall the English XP Pro, but it keeps crashing.
Saying it can`t find the product catalogs. I tried to
rename the catroot, but it says it either does not exist
or there is a duplicate. Any help would be very
appreciated. Thank you.
 
Hi Sawaka,
If the computer keeps crashing after installations i would suggest that
we better get the Hardware checked for any issues.

Try a clean installation, if the process still fails it is defintely an
issue with the hardware. www.windowsreinstall.com is a good website that
could help you out for a clean installation.
