win xp proff sp1 install error

i downloaded win xp professional sp1 from microsoft
update site. while trying to install sp1 it's giving
following error message( invalid product key contact
system administrator) but i am using original win xp
professional edition 2002 version. after this error i
formatted my system i reinstalled the os but still the
problem is exist any suggestion in this regard pls

Is this the actual error message that you are getting?

"The Product Key used to install Windows is invalid. Please contact
your system administrator or retailer immediately to obtain a valid
Product Key. You may also contact Microsoft Corporation's Anti-Piracy
Team by emailing (e-mail address removed) if you think you have purchased
pirated Microsoft software. Please be assured that any personal
information you send to the Microsoft Anti-Piracy Team will be kept in
strict confidence."
