Win XP Problems

I have an amd thunderbird 1.2 processor and an abit kt7
motherboard. When I built it I used Win 98se and it
worked fine. Now, after upgrading(?) to XP I have had
nothing but problems. I get a BSOD usually within 5
minutes of operation (every time) that indicates many
different problems such as Windoes protection error,
errors in different sys files, or physical memory dump.
Is there a problem between this processor/motherboard and
XP?

Had you run the HCL or XP readiness test before hand? More info here:
