Win XP Pro vs. WinXP x64 Pro

I was just wondering.... what are the significant differences between
Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Profesional x64-Bit Edition?

Other than the 64-bit arcitecture, are there any other significant
changes/differences between the two?
 
Hi,

64-bit is a new architecture than the 32-bit architecture. Programs have to
be written specifically for 64-bit to take advantage of the 64 bit hardware.
even 32 bit softwares will work but they will not improve.

specifically for the x64 format?
