Win XP Pro too lsow and Sluggish

I have a SONY VAIO with P4 2.4 Ghz 160 GB HD/ 512 MB RAM. Recently I
have installed the Belkin Wireless PC Adaptor F5D6001 in this machine.
after the installation the machine become too slow and almost
inoperable. So removed all wireless software and removed the hardware
as well. Now the system is doing little better. But still too slow and
Sluggish. any suggestions about how to improve the system
performance??? thanks in advance.

As Belkin why their software is not uninstalling
correctly.
Alternative, search the registry for Belkin and remove
what you find.
