Win XP Pro reboot problem

Help!!!
My PC keeps rebooting after logging into Windows XP Pro.
Everything seems to start up OK, but as soon as I login to
either my admin or user account, my PC reboots & disk
checks my hard drives, (which finds nothing), before
returning to the login screen.
I'm using the full 2003 Norton suite (ie. SystemWorks Pro
& Internet Security) and both Windows and Norton are
completely upto date with all patches, service packs &
virus / firewall updates. Thought it might be a virus, but
Norton Antivirus doesn't detect anything. I have several
backup copies of my pc taken via Norton Ghost and the
first time I login after restoring one of these backups
everything is fine, but as soon as I reboot my problems
start. Anyone got any ideas?

This is just a thought. Try rebooting with your machine
off the network. It's possible you may be "affected" by
something like blaster without being "infected". I've
seen this on more than one system. If this is the case
you'll be able to login and not get booted off, but
you'll have to download the follow up patch to MS03-026
(sorry, I don't remember the number off the top of my
head) on another machine to be able to get it so you can
patch yours. Also go through your services and turn off
anything you're not using. Hope this helps.

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section.

In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
"automatically restart" to clear it.

Click on Apply and OK as needed to exit.

That should put an end to the restarts. However they may be replaced
by "Blue Screen Of Death" STOP errors and the computer may then lock
up, requiring a manual power off and restart. But the contents of
the STOP error message will be a direct clue as to the underlying
cause of the problem. Post the information from the STOP messages,
including all of the parameters, back here if you need further
assistance with these.

Good luck
