Win XP Pro RAID 0 Setup

I just setup a new computer. Gigabyte K8N Pro, and 2
Western Digital 80g SATA Harddrives. I intended to run
those drives in RAID 0. I setup the BIOS, and had
everything recognizing the array. Then, I tried to install
Windows XP Pro. At the begining of the install, a gray bar
appears at the bottom of the screen. "Press F6 if you need
to install 3rd party RAID SCSI drivers." Or somthing like
that. I press F6, but the installation continues on like I
didn't even press it. The keyboard is fine, because I can
get into the next option by pressing F2. Any ideas?.....
Please?....... Thanks, -Kyle

If your keyboard is an office style that can change the F key functions -
Make sure the Fkeys are set to standard mode. I was caught by this problem
when I first installed xp.

Is that a setting in the BIOS? I don't remember seeing it
in there. I don't have windows on the computer yet, so if
it's a windows setting, then I'm pretty sure that isn't it.

When you press F6, nothing happens at that time. Windows will continue
installing and when it comes to installing the SATA drivers, it will go
ahead and do so if the floppy disk is in that they are on. You see the
floppy drive light come on and here it. If floppy not in at the time, when
it comes time it will prompt you for it.

If this don't happen, then follow the other Poster's reply about the F-Lock.

Do note that wireless keyboards will not work outside of Windows. You
will need a wired keyboard and you need to start pressing F6 as soon as
the option appears. You may need to enable USB Keyboard support if it
is a USB Keyboard. This may be a setting in your BIOS. PS/2 Keyboards
should work just fine. One way to test it is if your keyboard has a
light for num locks, see if you can change the light on and off by
pressing the num locks key ;)
