Hi I have a problem with a Mesh computer,
When I boot up Running Windows XP Pro it gets to the windows logo and then
flashes a blue screen (point of a second) and reboots. goes to a black
screen with white writing with last known configuration - safe mode - ETC.
But does not matter what I select it goes back to this screen, can not start
in any mode, Have reinstalled Windows with and with out service pack 2 but
after a couple of days of starting fine it goes back to the Windows logo and
starts the cycle all over again. Can any one please help as this is driving
me made.
please be easy with me as I am a newbie !!!!

It could possibly be a virus.....or a hardware issue. its hard to say.
if its a hardware problem, it is probably RAM related. Ram goes bad
very easily, and can cause you alot of very funky, odd issues that you
would never think would happen. If you have 2 sticks of Ram try booting
with only one of the sticks and see if you have any problems. If you
do, then switch it out with the other stick (after shutting down the PC
ofcourse) and try again, to see if you keep getting the same problem.

If you do, then yes it is possible you may be virus infected. When you
re intall windows it reformats the drive but it could be the virus is
contained on a portion of the hard drive that is not being over written
by the format.
But first things first...try the Ram issue then go from there. Always
remember to think simply and then work your way up to complicated
measures. :)

get a friend/another computer to make a boot disk with
memtest86 on it. boot/run it to eliminate ram problems.
