I have just installed a new broadband connection via a sagem modem and now
whenever i put my computer on standby the computer will not recover when i
try and start it up again. I am forced to switch it off and re-start. Any
suggestions?

Hi John,

Did you install software associated with the connection onto your machine?
If so, then it is incompatible with the standby function, or at least with
the power down state you are using. The only resolution to this is either a)
uninstall the software, b) get a more compatible version of the software
from the supplier, or c) stop using standby or decrease the power state (say
from S3 to S2).
