i have recently installed mandrake 9.1 on to my second
HDD.i am running XP on my other HDD. is there a way that i
can "see" the linux drive in windows, and vice versa, the
XP drive in linux??

Linux supports FAT32 and NTFS (read only) so you will be able to see your XP
drive. However XP does not support the Linux file systems so you won't be
able to see your Linux drive from XP, unless you install Linux on a FAT32
partition. If you need to share files between the two I would set up a
separate FAT32 partition on one of the drives just for that purpose.

I think XP installed on VmWare on Linux would be able to see the Linux
filesystems.
