Win XP Home - TV Card

I have a hard wired desktop and wireless laptop. They are connected through
a network and everything is working great as far as using the net and sharing
a hard drive located on the desktop.

My desktop has a TV card and I would like to access it though my laptop. I
tried using the share files stuff and making a short cut on the laptop to the
shared file (to launch the TV program) but Win XP home doesn't let you share
the program files and the windows directory. So....

If I install the TV card software on my laptop, is there a way to access the
desktop TV card by setting up the TV card as "shared"? Is it possible to
share a card like that installed in the desktop?

Most hardware doesn't work that way, you can't just share most add in cards
like that. It's very unlikely that that type of usage is possible. The
hardware and drivers must support network sharing.
