I have a serious issue with the Windows XP Home remembering the folder view
settings for my desktop folders. I have addressed this in the folder
settings, but when I resize a window to a folder it only stays that way for
a short time. All the folders seem to magically maximize when I click on
them. Is there a 'fix' for this from the MS site? Please don't tell me to
reformat and reinstall the OS. I'm not up to that after doing it within the
last year. Thanks.

Right click on the shortcut and choose properties. Change the Run setting
on the Shortcut tab to whatever you are looking for.
