Win XP home edition startup error msg

My system will not boot: error msg received:
"Missing or corrupt file: System/System32/system.exe .. use start up disc."

How is this repaired if you do not have a starup disk?

Is it possible to create a startup disk from another Win XP computer?

XP is designed to boot from CD. If your system is unable to do that you will need this download for boot floppies:
