Win XP hangs

I recently upgraded to win xp. my system configuration is
celeron 266 Mhz, sis 6215 with 2 mb display card, 440 lx
mb, 20 gb hdd, 128 mb ram, 66 fsb. the system hangs after
2-3 minutes of bootup. also while upgrading, i did the
compatibility check and it reported that my sis6215 card
might give problem with XP and i need to get some more file
for this card.

That system really should not have XP installed on it. I would stick
with Windows 98 Second Edition on a computer like that. If you bought
XP and really want to use it, good luck. You're best bet would be to
buy a new computer (can be had for very inexpensive). Dell usually has
deals for a really nice computer for under $500 and sometimes with an
LCD Monitor.
