Win XP - Explorer Folder Icon Bug

When using Windows "Explorer" on XP Professional, multiple "Desktop" Icons
appear in the Folders view, (directory tree). Once this occurs, the Explorer
window becomes unusable with unpredictable results.

This usually happens during/after a Remote Desktop session or when many
applications are using large amounts of memory. This is definitely an XP bug;
I have not been able to find a fix.

Hi,

Have you enabled the Desktop toolbar in the Taskbar? If so, see if disabling
that helps. This is only a workaround though.

After disabling the Toolbar Desktop, my WinExplorer displays are much more
stable. If I find a permanent fix or if I fins anything else that causes this
bug, I will post to this thread. Thank you!
