win xp download utility problem

I'm trying to download the netscape 7.2 (under win xp home w/ SP2)

Each time I attempt to download the file (from ftp.netscape.com) and
save it,
the win xp download utility runs for 1 sec only (I really mean 1 second)
then
cuts off and reports "download complete".

Depending on the network condition it manages to download within that one
second anywhere between 200 and 260 KB (the full size of the file
NSSetup.exe
is 288 KB)

Mark, does that only happen on ftp downloads? Give Mozilla Firefox a try

You may also want to empty temp files. Sometimes downloaded files are
temporarily stored and if the d/l gets interrupted or fails, the partial file
can sometimes be left in the temp folder. I have seen this cause the problem
you are having. Although I have not seen it happen when downloading directly
from an FTP site, it might be worth a shot.
