Win xp crashes and show me an error that is "Hardware Malfunction"

I installed windows XP and during installation it give me report that
my sound card and modem card are not compatible ..Any way it installed
and after that i installed my sound card that is cmi8736/c3dx with XP
compatible driver and remain my modem uninstall but when ever i play
some song it give me an error in blue screen
hardware Malfunction
contact your harware vendor

can anybody help me regarding this problem
 
try uninstalling and reinstalling the sound
card...otherwise a get a recently manufactured sound and
modem which are compatible
