Win XP Activation?

Has nothing to do with the XP Product Activation, if it did it would offer to help you activate, not just shut the system down.
 
My friend has XP, and when his computer boots up, and immediatley
shuts down. I think his Activation has kicked in. Is there a way to
get a fix??
 
Hi Dustin,

An unactivated machine that has passed the activation period would simply
force the user into Safe mode, it would not shut the machine down. Some
information on how far the boot goes, what was recently done with the
system, and some system specifications might help to figure out what is
really wrong.
