win vista installation problem

i have made 3 partitions on my hard disc.the first one has win xp and in the
third one i am trying to install win vista. I tried so many times.. but after
the first reboot while installing ( showing a slide bar ), it suddenly goes
blue ( maybe an error in my grafics card? or an error of my hard disc
drivers? ). After that in about half a second duration, it restarts
automatically. I have tried to start in safe mode or event the recovery
option and so many others.. but nothing happens.. i have a core 2 duo intel
processor with an nvidia video card and a sata 2 hard disk.. is there any
incompatibility? am i missing sth?

Get SIW from www.snapfiles.com. Run it and get your Motherboard, BIOS,
CHIPSET info.

See if you can find any updates to SATA or Motherboard/BIOS and install
them. Remember to backup before applying any updates.

Did you use Partition Magic to partition your drive?
Any firewalls, Anti-Virus software, Anti Maleware software enabled?
How are you installing Vista? From Windows/XP or are you booting from the
Vista DVD?
What error do you see when you get the BSOD? x00000086 maybe?
Do you format the partition with Vista during installation?

Need more info to help ya.

Thanks

I always encountered this situation when i tried to install certain Windows
OSes.
the things i've done is to rearrange my HDD and CDD config (rearrange my HDD
and CDD interface Cable), then to reset your CMOS bios settings (by setting
the CMOS jumper setting on your m/board). Give it a try, maybe it works.
