Hello to everyone and Merry Christmass !
I did Windows Update few days ago, and had updated my
graphic card vith newest drivers. Here are my system
specs:
AMD Athlon XP 1700+, 384 Mb DDRAM, 40 Gb HD Western
Digital Caviar, integrated SiS 740 AGP 4x graphics. OS is
Windows XP Home Edition SP1.
After updating display drivers (Driver date: 30/10/2003)
I noticed error in stand-by. This is from Windows update
site: "SILICON INTEGRATED SYSTEMS CORP. - Video
SiS display software update released on October 30 2003."
Computer goes into stand-by normally when I manualy do
that, but the problem is when it has to come back from
Stand-by state. Screen stays black, nothing is happening,
but if I click somewhere on the screen I can hear my
deafault windows sounds. So, it means, computer came back
into windows, but without displaying anything on the
screen...
I rolled back my old display drivers (Driver Date:
16/09/2003) and everything works just fine.
Does anyone knows where can I report this "return from
stand-by" issue (error) to Microsoft, to SILICON
INTEGRATED SYSTEMS CORP. or I have to do that somewhere
else ?
Regards !
