Win Spy Software Pro 8.3 Commercial Key Logger

Can anyone please tell me how to remove Win Spy Software Pro 8.3 Commercial
Key Logger from my computer? I've been having a battle trying to get rid of
this spyware for some time. CounterSpy finally gave me the name of the
spyware and it was unsuccessful in removing it. Microsoft Antispyware hasn't
been able to remove it let alone detect it, which has been the case in most
of the spyware programs I've downloaded and tried to remove this infection.
McAfee hasn't help nor has Norton. Thanks.

All of the programs that you have mentioned I have downloaded and ran
countless times. I still have Ad-Aware on my computer and it fails to "see"
the spyware program, which is the same for the other two you have mentioned.
They don't "see" it. I've ran CleanCache and other programs like CleanCache
and they don't work. This spyware program does a good job of fooling/hiding
the Spyware cleaners. There must be a way how I can go in and wipe this off
of my computer.

Try NOD32 trial edition - it's antivirus but detects other malware as well.
Else, download and run InstallWatch Pro (freeware) then reinstall WinSpy...
and see (InstallWatch Pro logs) what changes WinSpy makes on your machine.
With that info, you can manually undo all the changes. You have to turn Win
Restore off.

I thought the same thing. Looks like somebody installed it on the
system to watch the OP. Jealous wife/husband? Suspicious Mom or
Dad? Live in girlfriend/boyfriend? Employer? Only your
hairdresser knows for sure :)

I bought this computer new at Wally World two years ago. My wife has a hard
enough time turning the computer on let alone installing a program like Win
Spy. I didn't put it there and I don't want it there, this is a personal
computer in a house not an office. Like I mentioned in ealier questions I
have posted, I get all kinds of e-mails that I know are from the people
reading the info that this spyware is giving them. I look for dryer/washer
combos and I get nailed by offers via my e-mail address, addressed not only
to my screen name but my birth name. I fail to see any humor in this and it
has once turned a person who liked surfing the web into one who thinks is it
really worth the hassels when people put sh%t like that on the net. I did
try NOD32, didn't work.

Well I just read thru the web page, and to hide itself from the processes
and such, I'm sure it has to install a rootkit of some type. Read this,
http://www.sysinternals.com/utilities/rootkitrevealer.html. If it does
use one of these, that would need to be killed off first.

There has GOT to be a way to remove it w/o uninstalling it, but most
likely, it would need to be done from the recovery console, or with a
linux based bootdisk/registry editor.

This situation has really got my interest peaked.

Sorry didn't mean to make light of your situation. Did a little
googling and found this. Give it a try and post back.

After checking closer I don't think this is the same program.
Just one that named in a similar fashion.

Hey Guys sorry for the late reply, got infected with trojan and caused more
problems. Finally read what you both have posted and I will try it and see
what happens. I will post the results here and let you know what happen.
Thanks for all the help and let's see what happens. I would really like to
strangle the people who install that on my computer. Like I said, it's
getting to the point that I no longer enjoy surfing the web, not when you
have to deal with all of the crap out there from people who really need to be
