Question

First off, this configuration worked just fine for weeks until I
re-installed
XP home edition to try and fix a problem I have, where task manager only
shows
a cpu performance graph. I did not solve it with the reinstall, instead when
I tried to network, the win net zero service had taken control and my
wireless config
program could not be used.

I disabled win net zero service and rebooted then re-installed the USB
adaptor
but before I had chance to install the management software, I noticed the
icon for net zero indicating it was looking for a connection. When I started
the gigfast utility , I had the message that net zero was in charge.

Thanks in advance,

When you re-installed did you do a Repair Install or a last known good configuration or a clean install. Was it with a restore CVD or a retail version of Windows

The reinstal was not a clean one as I retained all data, it was not a restore
to earlier time. I cannot swear it was repair but assume it must have been as
my dtat was retained.

Sorry, I did not answer the second question. I used an upgrade retail copy of
XP home edition.
