win me to win xp froze during install

upgrading from windows me to win xp , as xp was
installing, it came to system restart , after restarting,
the screen goes black and the computer gets "stuck" now
i cant get back to win me and my screen is black! my
project is in the computer and i must access it !! help !

Hi Jody,

Boot the WinXP CD (you may need to change the boot order in the system BIOS
for this), start the installer and see if it detects the existing
installation and offers to repair it.
