Why these 3 lines in my win.ini??

[Temp Files]
Data Base=C:\DOCUME~1\Paul\LOCALS~1\Temp\dbf1F2.tmp
MainSif=C:\DOCUME~1\Paul\LOCALS~1\Temp\sif1F3.tmp

Because some legacy application that you've installed on your PC
requires their presence and created them during its installation.

Evidently. Why don't you ask these questions of the manufacturer
of the software that made the entries?

They have been put there by some third party software that you run, and
which seems to want to make a temporary data base. Win.ini is of no
interest to XP itself - it is there solely for the benefit of old
'legacy' programs
