win fixer 2005

I am beset by Win Fixer pop-ups that won't go away. My
spyware removal programs don't seem to remove this
problem. Can you please help me.

Hi

Download CCleaner, www.ccleaner.com and remove all temporarily junk.
Also clean registry with "Issues".

Download/Install Lavasofts Adaware

After install upgrade Adaware definitions with "Check for updates".

Restart in safe mode, press F8 during reboot just before Windows flag
screen appears.

Scan with both MSAS and Lavasoft Adaware, choose "full scans".

Winfixer should now be removed.

I have the same problem. Norton tells me I am infected
with Adware.VirtuMonde, which I think is the culprit, but
MSAS doesn't detect it. I have been unable to remove it
so far.
