Win Explorer not working in SP2

Downloaded and installed SP2 (Win XP Home is what I'm running).

Startup screen no longer says XP Home; instead says XP.

Windows Explorer will not work. No shortcut on desktop will
work when clicked.

Any ideas?
 
I would run error checking. Need help? open help and
support and search for "error checking"
 
I would run error checking. Try this . Select your start
bar, select run : chkdsk /f
Then reboot.
