Win Explorer Default "Explorer Bar" view: Folders?

XP Pro, SP2

When I open Windows Explorer (or My Computer), the left-hand pane lists File
and Folder Tasks, Other Places, and Details.

How do I get it to default to Folders, without going to View|Folders?

Someone once gave me a tweak, which worked, but I remember that it also
changed the way Control Panel opened -- it gave me a folder view as well.
(That was before SP2, FWIW)

Thanks.

Hi,

Click tools/folder options, change the option to 'use common tasks'. Then
enable view/folders and it should retain.

In File Types dialog in Folder Options you changed the default action for folders from Open to Explore.
