Win 32 and downloads

Hi
I am not the most experienced user! I have downloaded a file which has to be
opened in wordpad. When I try it simply displays pages of rubbish at the top
of which it says 'This program must be run under Win32' If anyone can help I
would be really grateful - but I am quite new to this and not that used to PC
speak! Thanks!

What extension does the file have, and where did you get it?
