There's many things that can happen.... Try looking in Event Viewer to see
if there any errors. Try looking in the Services applet, and look for any
that are "automatic", and are not running. Open them up, see what the
dependencies are. See if you can trace it down from there. I know that if
something important to Windows is not running, such as the RPC server will
hang the system at start up.
