Win 2000 Pro to Win XP Pro

Do I need to puchase the full version of Win XP Pro or can I puchase the
upgrade from a Win 2000 machine?

Windows 2000 Professional qualifies for an upgrade to Windows XP
Professional. Since the Upgrade version is significantly cheaper than the
Full version, you qualify for it, and it contains exactly the same software,
that's what you should get.

One more thing here.. ensure that you are in possession of the Win 2000 CD..
in the event of total failure, you will need it..
