win 2000 machine with hp laserjet 1020 printer

Hi
I have installed laserjet 1020 on my win 2000 machine successfully (I
got the test page).
I have 2 questions:
1. when I restart my comp with my laserjet plugged and turned on I get
a blue screen . It alerts that there is an unhandled exception about
the drivers. If I restart it with my laserjet turned off, it opens up
successfully. What is the problem here?
2. Now I try to print out and it gives me an error message saying that
"there was a problem with USB001" and my page cant be printed.
What can I do?

Defective or corrupted print drivers.

Contact HP for assistance and replacement drivers.
