Will Pro/Corp upgrade to Home kill the activation?

I have XP Home installed and have about 6 days left to activate. Will a
Pro/Corp upgrade fix this or will I still have to activate?
Thanks.

No you NEED to activate. The whole idea is to purchase the software legally
then there is no reason to NOT activate it.

Yeah. All the other moral high-grounders need not reply. The original
question stands.

Activation is free so what's the problem?

Mike;
There is no such thing as "Pro/Corp upgrade".
However there is Volume License that is often mis named corporate by
the pirates.

If you have a pirated copy, get rid of it and pay like all the rest.
You replied from your actual computer at Roadrunner.
You have completely identified yourself with the complete headers.

If you have Volume License, contact your Administrator or sales rep as
they are the most accurate form of support for Volume License.

Wow Mike, I'm not alone, look at all of us "moral high-grounders"
Interesting isn't it.

Take a good look at those headers. And report/do whatever you wish :)

You never answered Plato's question.

You have to format and reinstall. Cant upgrade from consumer copy to volume copy. If you require help activating your XP Home go to help and support and type in activation. Would be easier to activate that to format and reinstall, no?

Thanks for a straight forward answer.

To everyone else, go download a little proggy called Reset 5.02, and marvel
at the way people spend their time.

A so called Pro/Corp copy is a pirated volume licensed one. Go ahead
and do the activation - it won't bite. See www.aumha.org/win5/a/wpa.htm

Greetings --

Actually, there is no such thing as WinXP "Corporate Edition."
That is a term applied exclusively to pirated (iow, stolen) copies of
the Volume Licensed WinXP Pro by the "warez" aficionados.
