Will not let me connect to Outlook 2003 BCM with Vista Error

I am trying to connect to our current Business Contact Database on a XP
Machine. The install of Outlook 2003 and the Business Contact Manager was a
little tricky but I got that, it is working fine. However. when I try to
connect to the database I get the following error:
"The database server on computer xxx is inaccessible. Confirm that the
remote machine has Business Contact Manager for Outlook installed, that it is
running and that shared Databases are available at that location. Firewall
settings on remote machine could also be blocking access".

I have checked the data base is shared, The vista machine can access the
remote computer drives with out any trouble. I have added the Vista user to
the remote as a user and under the database access. It will not allow me to
gain access to the remote. I even turned off the fire wall.
I wanted to use the Vista as the new home for the database, I need to move
it to the Vista machine and connect all the users to the new remote. It will
not allow me to restore a database backup to the new machine either.
Any help would greatly be appreciated
Thanks
Christina

This fixed it for some folks with similar problems:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839269

To diagnose database connection problems it sometimes helps to get BCM
out of the picture and just try to connect a user on a client machine
to a database on the server machine.

From the client try running:
sqlcmd -E -S yourserver\microsoftsmlbiz,56183 -d MSSmallBusiness

If you can't find sqlcmd on your machine, try osql with the same
command line.

Does it connect? If not, BCM won't find the database either. But
sqlcmd may give you a better error message indicating where the
problem lies.
