Will not boot after WXP 1 installed

set a system restore point. then installed the WXP service pack 1. now my
computer will not boot up. The black boot screen shows then after about 10
sec. it resets and start the process all over. It will not boot to previous
successful point. I can get to Command Prompt. this is the only option that
works. Help. This is the second time this has happened to me.

i had the same problem, apparantaley when you install a
service pack its possible to download a corrupt file. i
llearned the hard way and had to pull out the system
recover disks....
