Will MovieMaker support AVCHD format soon?

Just got a Panasonic HDC-SD1 HD camcorder. It uses AVCHD format (.mts). The
camera is fantastic, but the video editing/conversion S/W that's included is
quite weak.

Ideally I'd like to convert AVCHD to WMV-HD. Is there currently a good way
to do this? I tried ULEAD VideoStudio-11, but the resulting .wmv video was
very poor.

Is there a AVCHD codec I can add to Vista MovieMaker, or any other
suggestions?

Just got the Panasonic HDC-SD1 HD camcorder also. I'm looking for help too.
The Ulead 11 has been an excellent editor, but can't get it to work with the
new HD .mts format. Looking for an answer also?
